PowerCheck: the standout tool at AI Weekend 2025

Guillermo Vargas presented PowerCheck at the closing of Mendoza's most important AI event

AI Weekend 2025 had an extraordinary closing with the presentation of PowerCheck, the standout tool of the event, led by Guillermo Vargas of PowerCheck (Peru).

During his talk, Vargas stressed the importance of every entrepreneur being clear about the problem they're trying to solve before starting their project. "Do you know what problem you're going to solve?" he asked attendees before introducing PowerCheck's features.

PowerCheck is an innovative artificial intelligence tool designed to assess the viability of entrepreneurial projects. Using advanced data analysis models, the platform lets entrepreneurs identify risks, measure opportunities, and optimize business strategies based on objective criteria and real-time data.

The event, held February 21–23 at the Espacio Cultural Julio Le Parc in Mendoza, brought together experts, professionals, and AI enthusiasts in a space for learning and innovation. Over three days, it covered AI applications across fields ranging from medicine to entertainment, as well as the financial ecosystem and advertising.

Highlights included keynote talks, workshops, and a 36-hour hackathon where interdisciplinary teams developed solutions with real-world impact. The winning team received a $2,500 prize and the opportunity to travel to Buenos Aires to keep developing their project.

AI Weekend 2025 also featured industry figures such as Marisel Robaldo from El Trece, Matías Rabaglia from Genosha, and experts from Ualá, who explored how AI is transforming their respective industries. The event also offered an innovative magic and artificial intelligence show by Juan Cruz Forlizzi, surprising the audience with a unique blend of technology and creativity.

The event's closing, with PowerCheck's presentation, made clear that artificial intelligence is a key tool for boosting entrepreneurship, giving innovators the resources they need to assess and develop their projects with greater precision and effectiveness. Mendoza reaffirms its position as a regional hub for artificial intelligence, driving new opportunities and challenges in the digital era.
